Special Parish Council meeting to discuss Potters (Morrisons) application

The highly controversial planning application to demolish Morrisons, known locally as Potters, is set to be discussed at a specially convened West Hill Parish Council meeting this Thursday 22nd Feb at 7.30pm in West Hill Village Hall.

Please do come along.

Representatives from Morrisons and Avalon the planning agents for the developer are expected to attend the meeting.

The application proposes to radically change this key site in West Hill – decimating the retail space and associated parking – in order to squeeze in 6 houses and 3 flats. With the retail space set to be reduced by more than two thirds, it leaves open to doubt whether a shop and Post Office is even viable. The shop and Post Office are absolutely vital for our community in West Hill as well as the wider area and communities such as Aylesbeare.

It is also really important that residents set out their concerns about this application direct to East Devon District Council.
